Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In memory of my Grandmother, and for anyone who has been affected by Cancer; on the 2 September 2012, along with friends Alex Lodge, Chris Smith, and (intermittently!) James Cutler, from my local rugby club (Mossley Hill RUFC), we will start cycling from Caldicot Castle in South Wales around the entire Welsh Coast up to Liverpool, a distance of approximately 800miles that will take around 7 days to complete.

On Sunday 26 February 2012 my Grandmother (or Granduck as we knew her!) sadly passed away following a nine year battle with cancer. Her determination to fight was due in part to her overwhelming compassion for her family and friends, and her love of life, and she will always be remembered as the life of any party. Granduck spoke very highly of the help provided to her by Macmillan Cancer Support and our whole family are grateful for the aid provided throughout her illness.

In undertaking this challenge we are looking to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support so that they can continue their good work in helping others for years to come. Please help us in any way you can as every single penny raised goes to a fantastic cause which means so much to so many.

Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help the lives of people affected by cancer. They are an invaluable resource providing practical, medical, emotional & financial support to people affected by cancer.. They are a force for change: listening to those affected and working together to provide better care. One in three of us will get cancer. We are all affected by cancer. Macmillan can help.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate -

In the time between now and the main event in September we will be holding a few mini-fundraisers all of which will help raise money for Macmillan so please watch this space for more details.

we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

A big thank you to all who support us and I hope to see you at the finish line!
