St Margaret’s Hospice has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for over 40 years, delivering high quality, responsive and compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.

Story

Ian Young (known to all as Ned), my step-grandfather, was looked after by the fantastic staff at St Margaret's Hospice at the end of his life in 2007 and the standard of the care he received inspired Ned's son, my step-father John Young, to become a volunteer there.  I have visited the site with John and been amazed by what this relatively small charity achieves for its local residents and due to funding cutbacks, donations are more welcome than ever.

I shall be cycling 1,000 miles from Madrid to London, and you can follow my progress here: http://theblondebiker.tumblr.com/
