Story

Welcome to the Buzzy Besties fund raising page!

We are running the Yorkshire Marathon on the 20th October 2019 for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. We both love nature and want to spread the message about how important bumblebees are for human survival. There are 24 species of bumblebee in the UK and all are under threat due to human activities such as agriculture, use of pesticides, destruction of habitat and eradication of wild flowers.

Please give generously to this vital cause!

Follow us on strava to bee updated on our training progress!

About the charity

Bumblebees are in decline because of a loss of their habitats. Our landscape is changing, over 97% of the UK's grasslands have been lost in the past 70 years. We work to put much needed flowers back into the countryside to benefit our bumblebees and other wildlife.
