The Magic Moments Charity Fund is dedicated to helping children suffering life limiting illnesses and their families. We achieve this by organising magic moments, to make youngsters' dreams come true. We also donate money raised to children's hospices across the UK so they can buy essential equipment.

Story

As a general rule, I try not to work weekends and spend it with my family. However, in August I was taking photos at the Willow Classic Golf Tournament and my Son James asked why I was working all weekend, I explained that it was for charity and what this involved. James straight away said I like to raise some money for charity and could I help him? After some thought we came up with the challenge to swim the length of the English Channrl (22 miles) in his local swimming pool, over 1400 lengths in 12 weeks.

I told James about the Willow foundation and about how haart has a similar charity called Magic Moments, james said he would like to help both charities plus also raise money for his school, and the channel challenge was born.

James and I have been up and in the pool by 7am three to four times a week, swiming a minimum of half a mile each time!

As of 9th October, James has completed nearly 500 lengths.
