We are a locally based Charity in Macclesfield who are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned and unwanted domestic animals.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully sponsor me! basically since meeting my wife (Mrs G) back in 2008 animals and animal welfare has become a big part of my life.

Our array of little dudes has consisted of Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Cats & Hamster and more recently two Shih Tzu puppies (Bayley & Jess) who have very quickly become my world!

People who know me will know that these days I can very quickly get on my high horse (Yes we have one of them too) when questioned about how to care for little dudes but I figured its time to do a little more so... this year I will be running the Manchester 10K as a personal challenge but more importantly raising money for the Windy Way Trust based in Macclesfield, Cheshire who do a wonderful job of caring for and re-homing domestic animals.

"The rescue work started in the 1960s when Mr and Mrs Nall started to rescue abandoned and neglected dogs in their own home at Windyway Head Farm. The farm is now owned by Wendy Dawber and her family who continue this good work. The rescue and rehoming now includes Cats, Rabbits, Chickens, Guinea Pigs and Horses as well as Dogs. Windyway Trust was formed as a Charity in February 2005"
