Story
Done it!
Yes for all those doubters, 5 went into the water and 5 ran past the finishing post some time later... even James who's swim training consisted of having a bath some weeks ago!
Much colder in the lake this year and the Pike were faster and hungrier, so I think we all posted some better times.
No drafting allowed on the bikes so the tactic was to just get in the outside lane and overtake as many people as you can which burns on the knees but makes you feel good!
The run was the usual cross country slog, trying to dodge the sheep sh** and tree roots but at least it didn't rain and family and friends there cheering us on was a real tonic.
Is it the Olympic distance next year........................?
Well done everyone and sincere thanks to all those people who kindly donated to the Seashell Trust. If anyone wants seconds, please feel free to donate again, its free!
Thankyou,
Morag, Andy, Steven, Peter and James (Fletch).

In 2008, Steven, Andy, Morag, Peter and James decided to do something really stupid! We entered the first Tatton Triathlon and amazingly we all returned in our own transport. Andy being the legend of the group did the Olympic distance but as the saying goes - "No sense, no feeling!"
2 years on and a whole lot less fit, we're trying again and this time we are going through the pain barrier for a truly worthy cause.
We are looking to raise as much money as we can for the Seashell Trust formerly the Royal School for the Deaf in Cheadle who provide care, education and respite for children and young adults with mutiple special needs. http://www.seashelltrust.org.uk/about-us/index.htm
We have set ourselves a target of £ 3000 and we will be grateful for any support you can give. You can gift aid it too so the government gives a bit more !
We will keep you posted on our lack of progress and hope to get more pics as the event unfolds.
Many thanks, Steven, Andy, Morag, Peter and James x
