Story

What are we doing and why?

Last year Freya and I did the Dinton Pastures Santa Dash (which is where the main photo is from) and as it is a charity event we got to talking about how and why you might do things that push you to help raise money for others. This seemed to instantly click with Freya, and she wanted to run more races and raise money for charity.

So, over the next few months Freya and I will be running a series of races ranging from 3km all the way up to 21km!

The races are as follows:

  1. Race for Chocolate (5km - Both) - February 10th;
  2. Reading Half Marathon (21km - Chris) - March 17th;
  3. Wokingham 10km (Chris) - March 31st;
  4. Woodley 10km (Chris) - April 14th;
  5. Shinfield 10km (Chris) and 1.7km (Freya) - May 6th;
  6. Royal Berkshire 10km (Chris) and 3km (Freya) - May 19th;
  7. Sonning 3km (Both) - May 26th;

We are doing this to support Launchpad Reading (http://www.launchpadreading.org.uk/) for the amazing work they do with the vulnerable and disadvantaged here in Reading. We all see the impact homelessness has on these individuals, and the girls often comment on how sad it is to see people who don't have homes.

We want to give something back, and if we can put the miles through our legs I hope you can put your hands in your pockets to show your support.

Wish us luck!

Freya & Chris xx
