Assalamu Alaykum All,

Ramadan 2020 will be a strange one. With COVID-19, the mosques are closed and gatherings have rightly stopped. This will be a Ramadan unlike any other, possibly in our lifetime.

In previous years, over the course of Ramadan, I did something called a Taraweeh Tour. What it consisted of, was going to a different mosque every single night of Ramadan and praying Taraweeh. It enlightened me to the community of each Mosque and I absolutely loved it.

For this Ramadan, I thought I would still do a Taraweeh Tour but it'll be slightly different. I will visit a different mosque every single day but it shall be closed as they all are. I'll take a picture and create a thread on Twitter (@WhatsRuku), which will show the situation we are all in now. 

We are blessed to have a mosque a stone throw away but this Ramadan we will be restricted. In Ghana, this is a normality. In the town of Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana, there is a clear lacking in prayer facilities. I want to raise money to help build a mosque and help fill the hugely needed gap for our brothers and sisters in the Region.
