Story
I will be running the London Marathon 2019 in loving memory of my grandmother, Eileen, who sadly passed away last summer. She dedicated much of her life to caring for my auntie who suffered with cerebral palsy, and campaigning for equality for disabled people across the UK. In doing so she became a leading figure in the charity, Scope, running nationwide initiatives to improve social awareness, facilities and career prospects for the disabled.
I aim to commemorate the pioneering work of Eileen and Anne and support the ambitious objectives of Scope by running, campaigning and raising money on behalf of the charity in the London Marathon. As it's my first I've set a fiendishly tough target of sub-3.15!
Any donation you can give to this fantastic cause would be greatly appreciated, and I'll promise to give the pavements a bigger pounding than your wallets!
Thanks!
Tom
