VisPA Challenge - 100K in 3 Days · 21 May 2015

Friends of VisPa exists to put Christian faith into action and support VisPa school and orphanage. VisPa seeks to nourish each child and young person through the provision of education, food, clothing and healthcare to highly vulnerable children and young people in Kisumu, Kenya.

Story

I plan to complete the upcoming VisPa Challenge, an 100K trek over 3 days, to raise awareness and funds for Friends of VisPa. Beginning at Glenariff Forest, the route continues on to Ballycastle, before travelling along the North coast and finishing on Portstewart Strand.

Friends of VisPa is a Christian charity based in Northern Ireland, which provides financial, material and spiritual assistance to Vision and Passion Centres (VisPa) in Kisumu, Western Kenya.

VisPa began as a small orphanage, but has expanded to include a nursery, primary school and secondary school and currently cares for 530 young people.

All money raised will help fund the construction of new sleeping quarters and a shower block for the VisPa orphanage.
