The Brother
Ben Sprange is my brother. He has Parkinsons disease - diagnosed in his mid-teens. Life has been tough for him and he has missed out on many things that we all take for granted. His life expectancy is short and his current mobility and quality of life poor. In all the years that he has been afflicted by this disease I have never heard him complain. His mental strength and courage are inspiring. I like to remember him as a small boy before parkinsons disease set in, thus the old photos.
The Swim
On Sunday 8 August I will be undertaking the 26.4 km Lake Zurich Marathon Swim (see attached map) as part of a two person relay team with Sarah Buxton. We have 11 hours to complete the event and will be rotating swimming time on an hourly basis. Brother Ben would have loved to have been able to do an event like this.
The Charity
The Cure Parkinson's Trust has one goal: a cure for the disease that has hugely curtailed my brother's life.

Thanks and regards,

PS: Special thanks to Nicole, Zara, James and Ollie for putting up with an absent husband/dad off training.
