Story
Pilots and cabin crew across the Thomas Cook Group Airline will again "FlyPink" in October 2018 as a part of breast cancer awareness month. www.flypink.net
This year we have chosen to support Macmillan Cancer Support so your donations will help families all over the UK affected by cancer.
The initiative features staff, pilots and crew donating money to wear special pink uniform pieces to show their support for care, treatment and research of breast cancer.
FlyPink is a global aviation industry initiative to help save lives. Wearing pink epaulettes was an original idea from Qantas Captain Susan McHaffie, in Australia. Thomas Cook Group Airline was the first airline group in Europe to take part in 2016 and raised a great total for nominated charities. This year we have taken it a step further by creating pink scarves, ties, lanyard, pins and pens.
The event is a way to give something back to the organisations that have helped take care of patients battling with this horrible disease. Colleagues wearing pink, demonstrate their support for raising awareness and financial support of cancer charities.
Look out for Thomas Cook Group Airline staff & colleagues at your airport who are 'flying pink' and if you would like to show your support please donate.
