Three Peaks Challenge by Bicycle · 22 May 2015

Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind (CPSL Mind) is a county-wide mental health charity. We support local people on their road to recovery from mental health challenges and we campaign against the stigma & discrimination faced by so many people with mental health conditions.

Story

Myself (Adam) and fellow adventurer Joe will be attempting the Three Peaks Challenge this Spring, to raise awareness for Mental Health, especially in Cambridgeshire.

We're going at this in a slightly different way that the traditional Three Peaks Challenge though and cycling from mountain to mountain. This makes the total journey around 650 miles, plus the trekking up around each mountain. We'll be doing this completely unsupported, each carrying all of our camping, cooking and sleeping equipment on our bikes, making the challenge on ourselves even greater.

Last year we did a similar type of challenge, cycling from Huntingdon to Wales and back, all in all about 450 miles over 7 days, raising £150 for MIND in the UK. This year we want to raise a lot more money, hopefully in excess of £500. Hopefully you can help us achieve that!

This year I've chosen MIND again as the charity, but specifically MIND in Cambridgeshire, my local area. MIND do some amazing work helping people struggling with mental health issues.

We'll also be writing about our entire experience over on our blog - www.roamingcyclists.wordpress.com , if you'd like to stay up to date with our adventure.
