Story

The 100k for Hobbsy Challenge.. A group of current and old Rhiwbina rugby players will be running 100km each throughout the month of January In aid of MIND and SoHK: It’s time to get your running shoes on and get rid of some of the Christmas barrel to help out the little man that has done huge things for Rhiwbina rfc and the Rhiwbina community David Hobbs. We need your help raising some much needed funds for 2 of his favourite charities. A local charity Cardiff MIND the mental health and well being charity and the School of HardKnocks the rugby union based charity that uses sport to tackle unemployment and teach some valuable life lessons. Please be advised, as just giving do not facilitate one page for two charities we have set up two pages (one for each) and linked them via a teams page. You can decide which charity you would like to donate to but we would appreciate you splitting your total equally between them. When you click “donate to a team member” on our team page you will be presented with two options, both labelled “Rhiwina Boys” - each of these represnt one of the charities. Please click on each to make two seperate donations. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

School of Hard Knocks runs courses that use sport to tackle issues surrounding unemployment, antisocial behaviour, crime and health. We teach responsibility, motivation, teamwork, respect and discipline - all of which allow individuals to take responsibility for their actions and context.
