Story
Hi everyone,
I know the last person you'd expect to run, let alone run 10k is me, but hey, it's 2010 so I figure it's time to step out of my comfort zone a little!
The real reason I'm actually prepared to run 10k is to raise money for a very special hospital: The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney, South London. The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN) is a national medical charity providing assessment, rehabilitation treatment and care for adults with profound and complex disabilities caused by disease or damage to the brain or other parts of the nervous system.
I have visited the hospital regularly in the past few months to visit a close friend, the amazing Mr Sami Sanchez, who is undergoing rehabilitative treatment at the hospital after sustaining a severe head injury last year. With the help of all the staff at the RHN, Sami is making phenomenal progress. The work of the hospital is truly amazing and hopefully the money I raise will help their work to continue.
