The reason I wish to carry out this walk is not only in memory of my mum, but in thanks to the dedication of the staff of Ward 10, Solihull Hospital (Dementia Ward). It is without saying that the care they showed my mum was second to none and shows why the NHS is the envy of the world. I just hope that even though what I can give is a small amount, it will in some ways help to keep this ward open, enabling Solihull Hospital to give other sufferers the excellent care and compassion they gave to my mother, Mary Anne Delaney (30/09/1924 - 20/12/2013). RIP Mum.
