What Am I Doing?

Hello, My name is Tom and I am fundraising for Allsorts Charity. I am doing the Stroud Half Marathon wearing pink leg warmers, TuTu, a Lei and a Pink Cowboy hat!

But here’s where it gets even more interesting...I am not going to train for it. That’s right! A half marathon is 13.1 miles and the furthest I’ve ran in a while is 10k! So, here are my rules of engagement:
1) I am not allowed to do a practice run longer than 10k (6.2 miles, not even half!)
2) This is to be a massive struggle! I must not do anything to give me an edge. (Glucose Gels)

Who Are Allsorts?
There aren’t enough charities out there like Allsorts, who provide a friendly and welcoming environment that supports children with additional needs and their families. This is done by offering advice and guidance for parts and organising almost daily activities and groups suitable for children with additional needs.

What do Allsorts Means To Me And My Family?
Since being members with Allsorts our son has made so many friends, engaged with activities that cater for him, build friendships with the wonderful staff, tried new things, grown in confidence, enjoys activities and trips, learnt new play skills as well as having somewhere he can be himself and be accepted for it.

How You Can Help?
Please help me give something back to a charity that has given so much more than I could ever repay. Charities like Allsorts are forever becoming less and less and charities need money to do the amazing work that they do. Please help me raise funds for a charity that sits at the heart of the children with additional needs community.
I will also be carrying a collection tin around with me. For those that know me, any coins go along way. Be it 2p’s, 5p’s, 10p’s, 20p’s 50p’s or garden peas, it all helps to this fantastic charity!
