We work with others to overcome poverty and suffering.
Story
On Monday June 15th 2015 I will set out from Aberystwyth, Mid Wales and follow the Wales Coastal Path northwards to walk the Perimeter of Wales. Including the Offa's Dyke Trail a distance of approximately 1100 miles.
I am doing this to raise funds and awareness for the Oxfam Nepal Earthquake Response:
A powerful earthquake rocked Nepal on 25 April. More than 8,000 people were killed and more than 14,000 injured.
A second massive earthquake struck on 12 May, killing an additional 65 people.
The UN estimates that 8 million people across the country are affected by the disaster - more than a quarter of the population. Over 750,000 houses have been destroyed or damaged.
Oxfam is there. We urgently need your help to provide clean water, toilets, hygiene kits, emergency shelter, food and seeds. Please give what you can today.
We urgently need to respond in the wake of this second disaster. You can help.
I am asking you to donate and support the rebuilding of Nepal and to provide much needed aid.
Oxfam is a global community of people who believe in a kinder, and radically better world, where everyone has the power to thrive not just survive. We believe we can overcome poverty by fighting the injustices and inequalities that fuel it.
