Tough Mudder · 12 May 2012 ·

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.

We must be MAD! On May 13th Leon Bustin, John Chapman, Carly Peart, Craig Widdowson, Darren Cooper, Mark Siddle, Kerry Wetteland and Ollie Watkins are taking part in “Tough Mudder” Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet! We’re getting together to form ‘The Lean Machines team!’

Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed y the Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. We must get through mud, fire, ice-water and 10,000 volts of electricity, climb over 12 foot walls and crawl through underground mud tunnels.

Tough Mudder has already challenged half a million inspiring participants worldwide. It’s more than just an event, by running Tough Mudder you unlock a true sense of accomplishment, have a great time and discover camaraderie with your fellow participants that’s rarely experienced.

In addition to our Entry fees that went towards Help for Heroes, weare raising money for Meningitis Research Foundation, in memory of Ryan Sweatman a friend of ours who tragically died from the illness aged just 19.
