Who we are…
'Apparently...we're the fittest ones here' team is made up of:
Chris McLean, Tom Holt, Christy Bolland, Gary MacDougall, Claire Gordon, Ruby Swaine, Lloyd Elliott and Eliot Leonard.
What we are doing and why…
We have set ourselves a huge challenge by signing up for Tough Mudder 2014 which is a hardcore 12 mile-long obstacle course designed by the Special Forces to test your all round strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. The challenge takes place on 14th June 2014 and will push us all to the limit, as this is something we have never done before! We also plan to take on the Baker Hughes 10k in May as a milestone challenge to help us prepare for Tough Mudder later that year.
We have taken on this challenge in memory of our good friend and teammate Chris', and his brother Nathan’s, parents June and Iain McLean. Iain sadly passed away in November 2010 after a long battle with Motor Neuron Disease. They then tragically lost their Mum, June McLean, in December 2012 who suffered from pulmonary fibrosis, which is a rare lung condition. While carrying out Tough Mudder we hope to raise both money and awareness for Motor Neuron Disease (MND) Scotland and Pulmonary Fibrosis.
June and Iain were wonderful parents to Chris and Nathan and much loved friends to many. They are both loved and dearly missed.
Please dig deep and give as much as you can for this very worthy cause. Thank you to everyone in advance, your donation is greatly appreciated.
