The Deep is an education and conservation charity. We work to help raise awareness of marine conservation issues of national and global significance. With your help, our dedicated team of scientists can carry out vital research and conservation work, both in-house and across the globe.

66 Heron stores in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire are raising money to support The Deep's Project Penguin which will raise money to help protect endangered penguins in the wild.

I'm Craig Antrobus, the Regional Manager for the areas involved and I've organised a cycle ride from the northern most Heron Foods store in my region in Amble, to the southern most store in March, a total of 255 miles!

Along with my team of willing participants, all of whom are Heron Foods employees, we plan to cover this distance within 3 days calling at several stores along the way:
