The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running a direct route from Hainault to Hornchurch in an attempt to beat the fastest route provided on the London underground (approx. 1hour). A provisional date of 6th September 2014 has been set for this run, subject to change due to any engineering works on public transport.

This is all inspired by my Dad, John Mills who was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour on November 7th 2013 and given 6months-1year to live. Brain Tumour research has such little funding given the number of deaths it causes, but together we could help change the dreadful prognosis.

Transport for London suggests various routes for this journey. This challenge looks to take advantage of some of the poorly connected tube station connections - those dreaded journeys where you seem to travel backwards before you can go forwards. The run is approximately 9miles!

This is the first race in what I hope to be a series of challenges!
