Mount Kilimanjaro Trek (Machame Route) with Discover Adventure · 25 September 2015 to 4 October 2015 ·

MSIF is the global movement of MS organisations, by and for people affected by MS. We network, learn from each other, mobilise and enable global collaborations, to achieve the vital goals that can only be reached by coming together as a movement. Our vision is a world without MS.

Story

We are a group of 5 friends who decided to spend the last couple of days of 2015 a little differently. Instead of getting caught up preparing a New Year's Eve party, we  want to spend the last couple of days of the year climbing Kilimanjaro. We will start bright and early on December 27th and finish off on the 4th of Jan.

We didn't want to simply hike for a week, we wanted to do it for a good cause. Multiple Sclerosis is a disease quite close to one of the trekker's heart, so it was an easy choice to support this cause.
MSIF has done quite a lot as an organisation to support MS patients worldwide. They been supporting smaller regional MS groups like ALSEP in Lebanon amongst others throughout Middle East and have formed the progressive MS alliance which helps raise funding to find a cure for progressive MS.

We might not be able to raise Millions and find a cure by the end of the trek, but every dollar counts and all what we raise from this will go to research in hopes of one day finding a cure for this disease and funding to support the regional MS organisations that improve the quality of life of people struggling with MS everywhere.
