Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.

Story

UK TRIPLE IRONMAN 2011 - Mission accomplished

At 2:20am on 13th June I completed the European Triple Ironman Triathlon Championships non-stop.  I completed a 7.2 mile SWIM (462 lengths) followed by a 336 mile CYCLE (equivalent of Newcastle to Southampton) and then finished with a 78 mile RUN (three marathons) or the equivalent of running from Southampton to London.  I completed the arduos course in 66hours and 20 mins with 30 minutes sleep
.
The weather ranged from scorching hot to freezing fog to horrizontal rain which added to the fun!

Following on from previous challenges; the Trans 333 in 2006 and the UK Ironman in 2007, the Double Ironman, in 2009, and the summit of Mt Blanc last year, I was one of eleven to finish out of the 16 that started in this 'fun' event!

Please help me raise awareness and generate £5000 for 'Everyman'
Photographic Synergy are offering fantastic photographic packages for Fathers Day up to the end of June whereby they will donate £12.50 from each shoot to this cause - please get in touch: Matt@photographicsynergy.com.

Donate over a £50 and Photographic Synergy will offer you a Fathers Day Photo Session (worth £125) for FREE!  Please email Matt@photographicsynergy.com with your details so we can book you in for a photo session at our studio at Willows Farm Village, St Albans.

Please sponsor me now - even if it is only a little!  Money aside please do help raise awareness for testicular and prostate cancer by forwarding this link to EVERY MAN YOU KNOW - they're worth it..... check or tell them to check their balls TODAY.

IF 'EVERY MAN' THAT READS THIS DONATES £2 (£1 for each ball) or more to this site we would have all done our bit and the threat of TESTICULAR and PROSTATE CANCER will be reduced. One man dies an hour of prostate cancer, that is a brother, a husband, a dad, a son, a friend, a work colleague.  Testicular Cancer is the most common form of cancer in men aged between 15 and 44.
A big thanks to Paul and the team at Rock and Road bikes of St Albans who kitted me out with a missile of a bike, a Orbea Ordu GDR Time Trial bike.  Paul assures me that there is not an engine built in, but I'm not sure....
A big thanks to Simon & Simon at PDQ Machines, Anil and the team at Pictons Solicitors who have been generous enough to be corporate sponsors, in addition to Willows Farm Village, It'sallaboutsport.com, Canon, SanDisk, Mitsubishi Electric and Ansmann.
Finally, the biggest thank you to 'my' Ayasha, my lovely girlfriend who helped me prepare and put up with the four weeks of training that I did before the event!   Ayasha essentially stayed up for the entire event helping prepare food and listen to my rants and childlike outbursts at the early hours of the 3 days.  We were both awake for 70 hours with 30 mins sleep for myself and an hour for Ayasha (although technically I was cheating by being sat down on the bike for over 32hours!)
She has seen many depths of my character which sometimes people never ever see with their life partners so I apologise for that!  Huge thanks for being you and helping me - I couldn't have done it with out you!
Thanks to Simon, Melissa and Olivia who offered fresh smiles and encouragement which helped me through the days.  Thanks to the rest of the support crews at the event who helped everyone along, Chris, Mandy, Dan and family thanks for your generousity and warmth.
THE ENDUROMAN FAMILY IS VERY SPECIAL - thanks to Eddie and Steve and all the race marshalls and helpers who made the event happen come rain or shine!
All the best and thank you for your interest.....
