The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Hello!  Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Autism is a lifelong disability which affects a person's social and communication skills.  It is a spectrum disorder occurring in varying degrees of severity.

Asperger syndrome is a form of autism used to describe people at the higher functioning end of the autistic spectrum.

When our son Jobe was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome at the age of 5, we were devastated.  We did not know where to turn to for help and support .

I'm taking on this huge personal challenge to help the National Autistic Society (NAS) support people with autism and their families.

So please sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me; NAS will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you so much for your support.  Now all I have to do is run 26.2 miles!!!

With much love

Trish
