Story
On the 6th March 2007 our lives changed forever. Our lovely boys, Nemo & Enzo were born at just 26 weeks, (they were not due until 8th June). Weighing in at just 1lb 14oz & 2lb 2oz, which was actually very good weights for their gestation believe it or not, Jean-Michel & I were told by our midwife that they had just a 50% chance of survival. It was the most stressful, bewildering, scary time of our lives, but due to the neonatal care and our ability to be there by the side of the incubators every moment we could over the three months, they came home on 25th May and although we've had a rollercoaster of a journey they are now fit, healthy, happy amazing boys that we are so proud to be parents of.
I’ve chosen to fundraise for Bliss because I want to make a real difference to the 95,000 babies born premature or sick every year. Every donation that’s made to this page brings Bliss closer to ensuring that every baby born premature or sick in the UK has the best chance of survival and quality of life. Bliss does that by supporting parents to care for their babies, campaigning for better neonatal care and enabling life-changing research.
