Rickshaw Run Winter 2011 · 1 January 2011 ·
G'day everyone,
The story of the Tuk It Easy! team began several years ago when I first heard of the Rickshaw Run: a reckless, 3,000km journey across India in a Tuk-Tuk. I have had my heart set on participating in the event for a long, long time and now the dream will become a reality.
I've recruited two equally foolhardy teammates, the rugged IT guru, Norwegian Chris Conradi and the dashing Australian with the gift of the gab, Hugh Minson. Together, we will land in India in December, 2010 to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. The race begins in the north in Jaisalmer, in the heart of Rajasthan desert and ends about three weeks later in Cochin, in the southern tip of the country.
But first - the team needs your help. We're raising funds for a an extremely worthy cause - FRANK water. Check out the website to read more - but the gist of it is - clean water! FRANK water has 58 projects in India and our goal is to raise 8500 british pounds (that's about 15,000 australian dollars, 14,000 canadian dollars and roughly 80,962 norwegian kroner for those interested).
While the minimum donation is 1000 pounds, we chose to set the bar much higher because we want to give something back to the country and the people who will undoubtedly share so many experiences with us.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now - we can't do it without your help.
