Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
12 challenges in 6 months? My wife, Janey, thinks I'm crazy. Maybe I am, but the team at Frimley Park Hospital are doing such an amazing job at saving her life, I have to try and put something back. My Janey was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2016. Her strength and positivity have shined like a beacon of hope for others in a similar situation. I'm doing this challenge for her.
So here's the craic. I've been a runner for about 18 months, but my knees have failed me. I can't run long distance anymore so the ultimate challenge of a marathon is out of the window. But what else can I do that would justify your sponsorship? Well, this is what I've come up with, all taking place between May and October 2016.
- 4 Running Races - 10k
- 1 Cyclosportive Bike Race - 86km
- 2 Sprint Triathlons - 750m swim / 20k bike / 5k run
- 1 Super Sprint Triathlon - 400m swim / 20k bike / 5k run
- 1 Open Water Swim Race - 2000m
- 1 Skydive (funded by my awesome parents, thank you xx)
- 1 All Night Bike Event - 109km
- 1 Mega Bike Ride to Amsterdam - 370km

A couple of things to note. I have booked all the events and intend to participate in them all. There is, of course, a slim chance that Janey’s health or an injury may mean that I have to miss one or more events. I will, to the best of my ability, replace any missed events with others and attempt to keep them within the 6 month timeframe. If that isn’t possible, I’m afraid I cannot refund you part or all of your donation.
