This year has brought emergencies on top of emergencies for those forced to flee 💔

With your help, I'm hoping to raise vital funds for refugee families this winter, because amongst the uncertainty, fear and disruption that we are facing this year, it made me think about how refugee families are facing so much more. 

Not only have they lost any sense of safety, security and certainty, having been forced to uproot their homes due to conflict and persecution; but with the pandemic and with winter approaching, countless families will struggle to survive through sub-zero temperatures, unable to isolate in overcrowded camps, stranded in informal settlements and unfinished buildings, and without access to basic healthcare and medicine.

UNHCR is on the frontlines providing life-saving supplies, shelter, healthcare and protection, but this wouldn't be possible without your vital support.

Your gift this winter will help to provide life-saving aid for families forced to flee:

• £50 could provide thermal blankets to a family of refugees

• £76 could provide a refugee family with a winter survival kit, including fuel, tarpaulin, sleeping mats and fleece blankets.

• £150 could help a refugee family access the essentials they need to stay warm this winter (such as fuel, electricity, jackets and warm clothing).
