Bears go bare for Parkinson's UK · 30 March 2014

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

'Bears Go Bare' for Parkinson's UK.

If the £100 target is reached then.....

On Sunday 30th March, at 2pm, Dan Hayden, Jack Soper and Matt Spencer, will be stripping down to just their pants and pads to bat against the entire University of Winchester's Cricket team.

This will be our final official training session before we graduate and we each want to give something back, not only to the team and the University but to a charity close to all of our hearts.

On Sunday the sports hall on campus will be open to all, from 2pm, anyone who wants to come and watch/have a bowl at us, as we strip down and pad up, will be more than welcome! We will also be filming the event to make sure we capture every shameful and painful second.

Any donations made whether it be online or in person, however big or small, will receive a raffle number with the chance to win a cricket bat, signed by the full Australian team from the 2006 Bangladesh Series. So make sure we jot down your name and number!

Winners of the bat will be announced Friday 4th April at 5pm, and we'll be in touch!

The second bat (New Zealand Series 2007) will be auctioned off at a later date yet to be confirmed, message us if interested!

Signatures include all of the greats: Ponting, McGrath, Clarke, Johnson etc. This is a chance not to be missed!

Remember, 2pm Sunday, University of Winchester Sports Hall to see us bears bare all for charity. And to make things competitive, every time we get out we'll donate an extra £1.
