Urgent Appeal For Bolton Bulls

Urgent Appeal For Bolton Bulls · 16 November 2018
Every season costs Bolton Bulls in the region of £5,000 in operating costs including;
Bolton Bulls only have enough funds for the remainder of this season and without the generous support of the public and local community we will be unable to continue beyond this season.
Unfortunately we have been turned down for a number of grants that we have applied for to cover our running costs and we have no choice but to appeal to the public to help us.
As well as these costs, we also have a number of players playing in wheelchairs that are not suitable for their disability and/or are very old and in dire need of repair and/or replacement. These wheelchairs can cost anything from £1,500 - £5,000+ depending on the complex needs of the individual.
We are also in a tricky situation with our playing kit as the kit has been discontinued by the manufacturer so we are unable to replace any kit that needs replacing or buy new kit for new players.
We have a fantastic group of players at the club with a range of disabilities covering a wide age group.
Without the Bolton Bulls, many disabled people in Bolton and the wider community will be unable to take part in a weekly activity that benefits their physical wellbeing and is also a big part of their social lives.
I know £5,000 is a large amount of money to appeal for, but this is the situation that we find ourselves in. I appeal to anyone that can spare any amount of money and would be willing to help us and our members keep this vital charity running.
Thank you
Graeme
