Blood Cancer UK Blenheim Palace Triathlon 2020 · 12 September 2020 to 13 September 2020 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

For those that know me the idea of cardio has always been very foreign and so I thought I would take the chance to get off my big butt and do some for once whilst also raising some money for Bloodwise (more detail below). Training just starting, i did a lot of swimming back when I was a yout (explains why I’m so broad) but still a long way to go... Kano also participating with there being some sort of undetermined forfeit for the loser to follow.

Bloodwise are the UK's leading blood cancer research charity.Blood cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the UK. And while huge progress has been made in improving treatment since we started in 1960, it is still the third biggest cause of UK cancer deaths – taking more lives each year than breast or prostate cancer.Everything we do is focussed on improving the lives of everyone affected by blood cancer. Research: We fund research to improve treatment and care for people living with all types of blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.Support & information: We provide everyone affected by blood cancer with information they can trust, in language they can understand.Campaign: We are the voice of the 240,000 people in the UK with blood cancer at senior levels of Government, Parliament and the NHS.
