Story
Everyone knows how incredible Macmillan are, with their life changing support to those affected by Cancer and the aid they provide to families with poorly loved ones. Macmillan understand that Cancer can affect so much more than just your health, they are there from the moment of diagnosis offering practical, emotional, financial, medical and personal support ensuring those affected are able to live life as fully as they can.
One in two people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. These statistics are used everywhere - banded around in the public domain. We often read them and don’t really take stock. They almost don’t really hit home until it happens to you or someone you care for.
Macmillan have supported and are supporting people very close to me and my families’ heart’s and I have so much appreciation for their incredible work! Therefore, I have decided to take on the challenge of running the London Marathon 2019 to raise funds, increase awareness and secure funding to help Macmillan to continue providing the incredible care my loved ones have received. The journey to completing 26.2 miles deffo won’t be easy (full of achy legs, lots of blisters, and a few tears no doubt) but I couldn’t think of a better cause to attempt it!!
I am so appreciative of all donations big and small, and in exchange I promise to train as hard as i can to get my little legs round those 26.2 miles!!
Thankyou!!
Wish me luck.... xxxxxxxx
