DVT Netball teams alongside the Grimsby and District Senior Netball League are going to raise funds for our chosen charity, Downs Syndrome  & for St Andrews Hospice through an

ANNUAL MIXED NETBALL MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT 

Sunday 21st May 2023 at Oasis Academy Wintringham 9am-4pm 

A bench will also be placed at the courts in her memory with some funds so please attend & get involved however possible. Consider splitting a donation to here & the final amount on the day.

Our amazing gal Kristal sadly passed away at St Andrews Hospice after a battle with Breast cancer. She was diagnosed during a very difficult time when lockdown started. She faced such difficult times often unable to have anyone with her. Had major surgery alone.

Her bravery and courage to fight every moment with a smile was inspiring. She was a beautiful girl inside and out and mum to two gorgeous boys. No one should ever have to loose a mum so young. 

St Andrews Hospice gave incredible care to Kristal in her final days and ensured she was comfortable. Alongside many friends and family. It showed how loved she really is. 

My connection with Kristal is our netball family, and she finally came to join our team, and sadly didn’t get a lot of opportunity to play due to the diagnosis. She was hugely passionate about the sport and competitive, something that gave us an instant friendship. 

Her DVT team friends have found it extremely difficult loosing such an amazing person. Hursty, Stacey, Toni, Maz, Sophie, myself (twigs as she called me) and our honorary netball guy friend David. 

Her family and friends are devastated she’s no longer here in the flesh, but we will do all we can to keep her memory alive. To raise awareness and funds for causes she believed in and raised money for herself. She’s here with us in our hearts
