Story
In 2009 Vicky and Suki's world was torn apart & the hearts of everyone that loves them shattered when Vicky was diagnosed with a malignant grade 3 brain tumour (Anaplastic Oligoastrocytoma ). Vicky endured months of physical pain, the side effects of the operation to remove the bulk of the tumour & the 6 weeks of radiotherapy that followed,as well as the mental & emotional pain. But being the strong, brave person that Vicky was, she faced it head on,continuing to fight it,determined not to let this rule her life. Trying to raise funds and awareness of how cruel brain cancer is!
After a long hard road life was almost normal again, until Feb 2012 when Vicky was told her tumour had returned but now had changed to a Grade 4 Oligodendroglioma. Vicky went through another operation to de bulk the tumour & underwent PCV chemo but sadly, on Friday 11th January 2013 Vicky was told there was nothing more they could do and treatment was ended.
Vicky continued to fight to stay with her soulmate, Suki, and family and was able to enjoy a few short breaks and a Peter Andre concert before she became too ill.
She was cared for throughout her final days by the amazing Suki, and on 28th March 2013 she sadly passed away in Suki's arms.
