Story
This is a group page, over 40 of Vicky's friends are walking and running all over the country for our Angel and the future.
Thanks for visiting our Race for Life page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online - it's quick, easy and totally secure.
Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore.
We all have our own reasons for doing this but we all hold Vicky in our hearts every day.
Emmie says,
I'm so sad that we lost Vicky this year but this will only make us fight harder for treatments and cures.
"Vicky has become an inspiration to many people, her positive attitude and persisitant fight have changed my views for my life, for my future.
The treatment my husband recieved last year was discovered by Cancer research-they've given us more time and I'd love them to do the same for others and to find a cure for our children's futures."
Janine Says,
" I would like to do race for life for my lovely friend Vicky and for all the lovely people that are no longer in my life because of this horrible disease my lovely mum died from ovarian cancer my brother in law mick my friends Mandy Kerry Jill sue Debbie and the list goes on they were all far too young to die but hopefully one day more people will survive and less will die every little helps so please donate to such a wonderful cause thank you x"
Belinda Says,
"this is a sad day and what more reason to do something which for us will be fun/emotional but at least we are here, for all those special people who define the words BRAVE, INSPIRATIONAL, PRECIOUS etc. I do believe good people who die of this disgusting disease are ANGELS and how lucky are we to have known them and to have them looking over us.
It seems that every week you hear of somebody being diagnosed with cancer. Although survival rates are improving dramatically, unfortunately, there are times when people lose their fight. Well no more, I say – let’s do everything we can to beat this dreadful disease.
Those of you that know me will realise that running 5k is a big deal for me (I am taking Kelsey to help drag me round!). Please give generously in Vicky’s memory to help ensure that we don’t lose any more wonderful people. Xxx"
If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Sponsor us now, and we can become cancer's worst nightmare.
One day we will beat cancer. Help us make it sooner.
