My mum is doing the Alzheimer's memory walk to help raise money to help people with this awful illness. It's a horrible illness not only to go through but also to witness. To see my amazing nan go through this broke all our hearts. For her to not know who we were and where she was. To hear her ask about people that were no longer here and hadn't been for a long time. To see how distraught my grandad was for his wife not to know who he was. The tears of tears across families this illness causes with nothing to give you hope. I hope no one has to go through it themselves or with a family member but unfortunately this is more common than people think. Any money that can be raised towards this charity would be amazing and can help slow this heart breaking illness down!
