On Nov 6, I am running the NYC Marathon in order to raise funds for and awareness of a great cause: ensure that all children have the chance to grow up in the loving environment of a family.

Hope & Homes for Children (HHC) is a prominent UK

charity organisation that aims to provide every child with a family-base
environment. HHC has been working in Moldova since 2001 and has worked with our implementing partner, CCF Moldova since 2005.  Over the last 14 years they have directly helped over 1,000 children and young adults. Essential alternative family care services have been developed such as a network of family type homes, foster carers and after-school clubs.  Working in partnership with the local authorities, over 1,500 childcare professionals have been trained. These measures ensure that children are able to live in safe and healthy family environments, and signs of potential family separation are
identified early enough to prevent institutionalisation.
