Christie's - Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride 2009 · 12 July 2009 ·

The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Thanks for visiting the Vinci Construction UK Ltd fundraising site,

The Vinci Bunker Builders will be participating in the Christies Charity Bike Ride from Manchester to Blackpool; an epic journey of 60 miles.  The 13 elite individuals taking part consist of both Vinci Construction UK employees and sub-contractors partnering the construction of the new Christie Radiotherapy Centre at the Royal Oldham Hospital.

Christies Radiotherapy Centre will use high energy radiation beams to destroy cancerous cells, and will treat patients mainly for the most common cancers such as breast, prostate and lung.

Christie Doctors, Special Radiographers, nurses and other medical experts will be able to treat 70 people a day, that's 18,000 treatments a year.

We therefore hope to raise a minimum of £5000 for the Christie's Trust so they can continue to provide life saving treatment to even more people in the future.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Christie's gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor the team now.
