Please dig deep and sponsor me online.  I am now on the final leg of my training - 2 hours walking per day and a visit to the gym 3 days a week - cant say I am enjoying it very much - its very hard work!  However, I am hopeful that it means I WILL enjoy the trek and not be too puffed climbing the "mountains".  I am also one stone down with a further one to go before October - so I am on course.

As you may know I have had breast cancer twice - once aged 36 and once aged 41 - I am now the ripe old age of 50. So this charity is very dear to me and money raised will go to help other women, their husbands and their families.

Everyone gets a bit de-sensitised to giving to charity, I know this only too well, there are boxes rattled under our noses on a daily basis and all sorts of claims on our money, our time and our emotions.  However Breast Cancer affects 1 in 9 women in the UK.  All of us know more than nine women - which means statistically you will know at least one woman and their family to be affected - the money you give will go to helping educate women, provide treatment and counselling and generally raise awareness.  Knowledge is power, both to women and their partners/family.  Helping me raise money will in the long term help someone you know and care for.  Please give generously - not least because I am probably the oldest, unfittest, laziest 50 year old you know ever to embark on such an adventure.  I am paying for my own trek so every penny you give goes to the charity.
