Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance service. We rely on public support to keep flying and responding to time-critical emergencies wherever they occur in Scotland. No one in Scotland should die because help can't get there in time.

Story

Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) is SLAL's charity partner for 2019. SCAA is Scotland's only charity funded air ambulance. They receive no government funding, and rely 100% on the generosity of the people of Scotland to keep their helicopter in the air and to continue saving lives. For people who have had accidents or suffered heart attacks in a remote or rural area of Scotland, SCAA can mean the difference between life or death.

SCAA currently have one helicopter, which is based in Perth, and are looking to raise £6 million for a second helicopter at Aberdeen Airport.

To help them achieve this target, a group of graduates from SLAL are hosting a cyclathon in Standard Life House.

SCAA is currently able to reach 90% of the population of Scotland within 25 minutes - we're challenging ourselves and our colleagues to see how far each of us can cycle in 25 minutes?

On the 22nd May, we will be cycling in the canteen between 9am to 5pm to see what distance we can travel. We are aiming to constantly have someone on the bikes between these times, and so are looking for volunteers to help us with this.

If you aren't able to cycle, any donation which you can make to help us hit our target would be hugely appreciated, and will go towards saving lives.
