Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. So how did this all come about? My brother Keith decided it would be good for us to both do this, and I am very glad he got me involved. I may not be so kind to him as we hit a hill 20 or so miles in but thanks for getting me in on this Keith. We did a walkathon many, many years ago when were both a lot fitter and thinner so I imagine this may be a very different experience this time round!

We don’t have a time to aim for, we'll go with finishing the thing to start with! We are doing it for a couple of great causes thoug which you can read about here > http://www.freeradio.co.uk/walkforharry/

I don’t think you could have lived in Birmingham over the last few years without hearing about Britains Kindest Kid, Harry Moseley, and his amazing work raising money for Cancer Research. His is a truly wonderful and inspiring story. Harry's work caught the imagination of not only the press, but celebrities and sports people the country over. Sadly Harry lost his brave fight last year and the Walkathon has been renamed the Walk for Harry.

Hopefully, the efforts of all the walkers will give a significant injection of funds and help make a real difference to the Brain Tumour research and the Acorns Children’s hospice.

Outside of playing a few gigs for free and chucking some loose change in collection boxes, I can’t honestly say I do a lot for charity and I am really excited to get involved in this and your support in this little challenge would be greatly appreciated. Please donate as much as you can to help out two very deserving Charities.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
