Our Mission

We (Michael Wilkes and Peter Henderson) are embarking on a 130 mile, 6 day walk of County Durham.  This will be a tough challenge in the timescales set but we are determined to complete our mission.  We are doing this to coincide with the 10 year anniversary of County Durham Area Action Partnerships (AAPs) and to raise money for our two chosen charities, Allergy UK and The Royal British Legion!

Our schedule for the walk is as follows:

  • Stage 1
    (Friday 29th March 2019)  - Durham - Chester-Le-Street - Stanley - Consett - Langley Park
  • Stage 2
    (Saturday 30th March 2019) - Langley Park - Crook - Stanhope
  • Stage 3
    (Sunday 31st March 2019) - Stanhope - Barnard Castle
  • Stage 4
    (Monday 1st April 2019) - Barnard Castle - Shildon - Newton Aycliffe - Ferryhill - Spennymoor
  • Stage 5
    (Tuesday 2nd April 2019) - Spennymoor - Sedgefield - Seaham
  • Stage 6
    (Wednesday 3rd April 2019) - Seaham - Durham

We would really appreciate it if you could sponsor us to complete our walk/mission, with any donation you make going directly towards two excellent charities.

If you are in the area at the time then feel free to come along and say hello and perhaps bring us some flapjacks.................we may need the energy!
