Nightingale House offers a wide range of facilities to local people and their families living with life-limiting illness. Patients come from Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire and outlying areas. In 2025 it will cost £5,603,094 million to run the Hospice - this equates to nearly £15,351 per day.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Walkers' Warriors fundraising page.

On 14 June 2008 Solicitors and Secretaries from Walker Smith Way Solicitors' Wrexham Office will be participating in The Nightingale House Hospice's 'It's a Knockout' competition which is being held at Bellevue Park Wrexham.   The event will run parallel to the Hospice's big Summer Fair.     Our team members are pictured and are:-

Lorna Lewis; Mark Denholm; Jo Williams; Martyn Elliott; Louise Ankers; Rachel Wynn Jones; Chris Woods; Lisa Jones; Jenny Lowe; Steve Watling; Janet Taylor and Neil Turnbull.

This challenging team event is based on the popular 70's TV game show "It's A Knockout".  Physical and mental activities await us as we prepare to battle it out, challenging other teams from other local businesses  (including a team from our Chester Office - Walkers Gladiators) for the best demonstration of skill, judgment, talent and luck to score points.    For further information please visit www.itsaknockout.com

Nightingale House Hospice which is based in Wrexham provides specialist palliative care services, completely free of charge, to people across Wrexham, Flintshire, East Denbighshire, the A494 corridor to Barmouth, and the borders, including Oswestry, Ellesmere, Wem and Whitchurch.

This year it will cost 2.5 million pounds to provide the high level of specialist palliative care that has become synonymous with Nightingale House, so you can see that the ongoing support of the local community is of vital importance to the Hospice as they work to develop and expand the services that they offer to their patients and their families.  With only 18% of this figure coming in from Government resources, this leaves the Hospice with the enormous task of raising 2.1 million pounds - with our help.

Please therefore sponsor Walkers' Warriors and help us reach our target of £500.00.  Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Nightingale House Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

14th June 2008 is likely to be a most enjoyable and memorable day so please come down and offer us your support as well as sponsoring us now!

Many thanks for your support.
