Walk for Parkinson's - Calke Abbey 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Our dad, Tony, has had Parkinson’s for 12 years. Every year Parkinsons changes him from someone who had all the independence in the world to some needing care every day.

By doing walks like this, we are trying to help Parkinsons UK to find new treatments that will one day help people like our dad deal with the day to day life of the disease.

Everyone is welcome to come along on the walk, with or without their dogs, to have a day out with friends and family all for a good cause.
