My wife, Wendy, and I are keen walkers. We like walking alongside water, and are less keen than we used to be on climbing steep hills!  (We are both now in our seventies.) We have decided to pioneer a new south-to-north route across England alongside water. We shall walk it in stages, a few days at a time, and give ourselves a couple of years or so to complete it. We hope to raise a good sum for Down Syndrome Education International through the sponsorship of well-wishers.
