We support Birmingham Children's Hospital to improve the lives of sick children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

A group of colleagues from Ward 12 at Birmingham Childrens' Hospital have decided to do a sponsored skydive on Sunday 19th September 2010 to contribute towards the £2 million pounds which needs to be raised to build a new cardiac hybrid theatre at the hospital. We need £395 MINIMUM EACH to be able to do the skydive but obviously we want to raise as much as we can! This is a cause close to our hearts: every day we care for babies and children with a range of heart conditions, some of whom have had several operations and procedures in their short lives. Having the hybrid theatre will enable children to have surgical procedures and keyhole techniques to be performed simultaneously, thus reducing the number of operations they need as well as the length of their hospital stay.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital.
