On September 22nd 2019 Joe "Boogies" Koziol, sadly passed away after taking his own life. He was kind and loving and the best son, boyfriend, grandson, cousin, nephew, brother and friend anyone could wish for bringing light to so many people.
Two weeks before Joe passing he joined his mother Irene, who is a member of a local fitness programme called Training for Warriors Birmingham, to take on the Autumn Wolf Run, a 10km off-road obstacle run with a series of man-made and natural obstacles. Joe was awesome running, climbing, crawling and swimming his way around the course whilst supporting his mother and everyone around him; it was a joy for everyone to see Joe face the challenge of his first ever Wolf Run.
Therefore it feels only right that Training for Warriors joined by family and friends of Joe take on the Spring Wolf run in his memory.
We are raising money for Survivors of Bereavement Suicide (S.O.B.S.). They exist to meet the needs and break the isolation experienced by those bereaved by suicide. They provide s safe, confidential environment in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings, so giving and gaining support from each other.
There will be a team of people running in memory of Joe including members of the Training for Warriors Fitness Programme alongside Joe's mother Irene, Joe's Girlfriend Amy and many other family members of Joe's family and friends. The team will be a mix of experienced runners and many first time runners so please show your support with any donations of any amount in memory of Joe, to support this team of runners and to support this very worthy cause.
Thank you for your support!
