Thanks for taking the time to visit Wayne's JustGiving page.
On Thursday 16th November our beloved Wayne died. He had been a little poorly and was in hospital having lots of tests done whilst they tried to fix him but sadly they couldn't. We are beyond devastated and can't quite compute the enormity of it, but are determined to find ways to continue the legacy of this phenomenal Daddy, adored husband, beloved son, brother and friend - our all round very charming man.
We should try to follow the advice I have been wrapping our beautiful children in - that it's ok to be sad but he wouldn't want us to be sad all the time and whilst we can no longer see him, he remains with us always in our hearts, heads and memories.
As you know Wayne loved nothing more than walking and (in his younger days!) climbing, in the hills of the UK and beyond. So for those of you who have asked if you can make a donation in his honour, it seemed fitting for this to go to Mountain Rescue who spend their time ensuring others are able to safely enjoy all that the hills have to offer. He would I'm sure be happy in the the knowledge that he was able to contribute via you to this wonderful organisation.
