I've struggled with addiction myself and I've lost friends and family to such horrible issues. Now that I'm free and so grateful for the new life I've got (through my faith in the Lord), all money I raise from my London Marathon run will support the Salvation Army's work in caring for people who are homeless... 

Homelessness is a reality of our society. From street homelessness to those battling addiction, the services the Army offer put the person and their needs at the centre of their support - enabling people to take control of their life circumstances. The Salvation Army passionately believes that no one is beyond hope, however great their problems. So very often, through their care, support, practical help and the time they freely give, people find the strength to turn their lives around. Above all, they are a friend to people who have nowhere else to turn, offering Christ's love and hope in places of despair...
